Management Consulting Manager

As part of our growth, global expansion and reinforcement of our position as a top
management consulting and digital transformation company,
we are looking for a management consulting manager with solid
previous experience to reinforce our practice in Lisbon.
Main Duties
At first, you will be engaged in projects in various service areas, but with increasing integration in our company you will be required to focus in and then lead a practice area for which you will be the primary business owner, controlling the P&L as well as the development of the business solutions in that area (service area or region).
You will be based in Lisbon, but must be prepared to travel globally to participate in client engagements for short periods of time.
Conduct commercial activities such as client identification and development, project scoping and budgeting, production of proposals and closing of opportunities.
Leader multidisciplinary teams.
Manage proposals and business development calls with partners and senior managers.
Communicate with clients to manage expectations, lead change efforts and ensure satisfaction.
Develop solutions for complex client situations to meet goals and objectives.
Do project management and execution with high quality standards
Measure project progress, client benefits and budget expectation achievement through proprietary tracking tools
As you get more integrated into the company:
Participate in strategic decisions, goal definition and monitoring regarding the practice of management consulting
Communicate with client management such as C-suite client leadership.
Be a primary business owner, controlling the P&L as well as the development of the business solutions for a specific service area or region.
Attract, manage, develop and mentor staff to assess engagement performance and year-end reviews.

The normal work hours are 8 hours per day, but consultancy work can be demanding and project deadlines may require higher commitment in certain periods.

Experience
+7 years of previous experience in management consulting or equivalent
The ideal candidate would have deep expertise in some of the following industries to add industry-specific content as part of our services: energy, telecommunications, government, manufacturing, transportation, financial services.
Ability to independently conduct meetings with C-level, engineering-level, management-level or executive level customer personnel in regard to positioning sales and solutions.
Understanding and application of project management methodologies such as Agile and PMP, including exceptional skill sets in scoping, design, and delivery
Ability to hire, mentor, manage and ensure the performance of a team.
Documented successful sales of enterprise-wide solutions or services.
Academic Level
University degree in the field of economics, management, finance or industrial engineering
or equivalent combination of experience and education; Master’s degree preferred.
Other Requirements
Availability to travel abroad
To be comfortable working away from home for up to five days per week for short periods of time
