The example of Portugal Digital
The Portugal Digital Mission Structure aims to support the digital transformation of the business fabric, the digitization of the State and the training and digital inclusion of all.
The Portugal Digital Platform is one of the first portals to be distinguished with the Golden Seal of Usability and Accessibility, thus fulfilling one of its main purposes of ensuring that all citizens have their rights in accessing the Platform fulfilled, guaranteeing the best practices of usability and accessibility promoted by the Agency for Administrative Modernization and the National Institute for Rehabilitation.
The LBC Contribution
Using a human-centered approach based on the design thinking methodology, LBC developed the Portugal Digital Platform from scratch to centralize all information on policies and measures of a digital nature in Portugal.
According to a Nuno Duarte, Lead UX/UI at LBC, “compliance with usability and accessibility rules on existing websites is a greater challenge for organizations than new websites”.
In this way, LBC has developed approaches and tools that quickly analyze the maturity of websites, define the best alternatives for action and make the business case for evolution to reach the desired levels of usability and accessibility.
LBC has extensive experience in developing user-centric portals and in quickly and efficiently transitioning existing portals to portals with the AMA Seal of Usability and Accessibility.
