Skill development
The United Nations recognized LBC's competence and international knowledge in the area of procurement. The project designed consisted of the development of the e-learning platform (distance learning) and training content, related to best practices in the purchasing function and the adoption of electronic tools to support it.
The program created by LBC in partnership with the UN project team encompassed the definition of training content, the development of an e-learning platform and the content itself, as well as face-to-face training for 90 purchasing officers who, in turn, In turn, they disseminated the contents to all United Nations offices. The project also covered the maintenance of the distance learning platform and the updating of the respective contents. It should be noted that account was taken of the fact that there are different training needs and therefore the courses were designed accordingly.
Maintenance
After the six months that spanned from the start of the project to its completion, LBC was still responsible, for a period of three years, for maintaining the program, which represented monthly monitoring in order to identify and correct performance, or other issues that might arise.
The project, which aimed to ensure the development of skills in order to support the UN to buy better, achieved procedural and price savings, through better knowledge of the markets, better purchasing strategies, more agile and reliable processes and greater monitoring of the supplier performance.
